Sophie Harrison, Assistant Psychologist
Sophie has experience of working with children, young people, and adults. Sophie began her career as an Assistant Psychologist in a forensic psychiatric unit, gaining a deeper understanding into the impact of adverse childhood experiences upon adults, before moving to Canada to work with children and youth as a Registered Clinical Counsellor. Here, she took on a clinician role focused on supporting people who experienced severe and enduring mental health difficulties and developmental conditions.
Sophie's aim is to pursue a doctorate in Clinical Psychology in the United Kingdom (UK) with a scope of study focused on the intertwining impact of attachment, family systems, and mental health, with special attention paid to neurodevelopmental conditions.
At Join Psychology, Sophie supports our practice by scoring assessments, drafting assessment reports, and helping us to stay up-to-date with research in the field of neurodiversity.
