ADHD & AuDHD Post-Diagnostic Support
Supporting you beyond diagnosis
Receiving a diagnosis of ADHD, or recognising that you are both autistic and have ADHD (AuDHD), can be an important step towards understanding yourself. For many people, diagnosis brings a mixture of emotions, including relief, validation, uncertainty and questions about what comes next.
Whilst understanding your neurodivergence can be valuable, translating that understanding into everyday life is not always straightforward. You may want support to make sense of your experiences, develop strategies that work for you, or address the emotional and psychological impact of living with previously unrecognised or unsupported needs.
At Join Psychology, we recognise that assessment and diagnosis are often just one part of a much broader journey. We are therefore pleased to have established a referral partnership with Dr Emma Marie Williams, Clinical Psychologist and founder of GlitterBrain Psychology, who offers specialist post-diagnostic psychological support for adults with ADHD and AuDHD.
Introducing GlitterBrain Psychology
Dr Emma Marie Williams
HCPC-Registered Clinical Psychologist | Founder of GlitterBrain Psychology
Dr Emma Marie Williams (Em) is a Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience of providing psychological therapy and lived experience of ADHD.
Through GlitterBrain Psychology, Em offers a distinctive approach to psychological support that combines evidence-based psychology with creativity, humour and engaging, accessible resources designed specifically for ADHD minds.

Em recognises that many people with ADHD have spent years trying to manage difficulties through increased effort, willpower or strategies that simply do not suit the way their brains work. Her approach is grounded in the understanding that meaningful change does not have to involve pushing yourself harder. Instead, it can begin with small, achievable steps that work with your individual needs, strengths and ways of thinking.
Drawing on more than 7,000 hours of clinical therapy experience, alongside her own lived experience of neurodivergence, Em aims to make psychological support engaging, practical and relevant to everyday life.
What support is available?
GlitterBrain Psychology offers a range of services for people with ADHD and AuDHD, including:
Individual Psychological Therapy (1:1)
Individual therapy provides an opportunity to explore your experiences, difficulties and goals within a supportive therapeutic relationship. This may be particularly helpful if you are experiencing emotional or psychological difficulties, struggling to adjust following diagnosis, or would benefit from individually tailored psychological support.
Post-Diagnostic Group Therapy Courses
Specialist group therapy courses for people diagnosed with ADHD or AuDHD offer an opportunity to develop greater understanding of your neurodivergence, explore practical approaches to managing everyday challenges and work towards meaningful changes.
Group-based support may also provide opportunities to connect with others who have similar experiences.
Free Educational Resources
GlitterBrain Psychology also provides free resources designed to help people better understand ADHD and develop practical strategies that reflect how their brains work.
A different approach to ADHD support
GlitterBrain Psychology combines psychological knowledge with an engaging and creative approach to learning and change. Rather than relying on generic advice or expecting people to adapt to strategies that do not meet their needs, Em focuses on approaches specifically designed with ADHD in mind. Her aim is to make psychological understanding accessible and to help individuals take small, manageable steps towards improving their wellbeing and quality of life.
